Buff Orpingtons:
Here at Ricky’s we raise Buff Orpington chickens for laying hens. We highly recommend this breed as a dual purpose bird for both meat birds and egg layers. This breed is found to be very friendly, and great egg producers. On average the buff orpington can lay 180 eggs a year! Eggs from this breed are brown in color and large to extra large in size. These birds are quiet and calm overall. The picture to the left depicts some of Eli’s very own hens!
